FOLLOWING CADRES OF DRDO UNDER DIRECT
RECRUITMENT SCHEME
I) DRDS CADRE (DEFENCE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
SERVICES)
Scientist ‘G’ (` 37,400-67,000/- & Grade Pay `
10,000/-) – 1 Vacancy.
1. Essential: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in
Engg./Technology in Mechanical Engg./Aeronautical
Engg./Electrical Engg./Electronics & Communication
Engg. only; from a recognized University.
2. Desirable : (i) Master’s degree in Engg. or Technology
in the subject concerned. (ii) Knowledge of Chinese,
French, Russian, German or Japanese foreign language.
3. Essential: At least 15 years experience in areas of
quality planning, quality assurance, quality control, and
quality improvements related to weapons/sensors/
combat vehicles /armaments.
Scientist ‘F’ (` 37,400-67,000/- & Grade Pay ` 8,900/-)
– 3 Vacancies
1. Essential: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in
Engg./Technology in Civil Engg/ Mechanical Engg./
Electrical Engg./Electronics & Communication Engg./
Metallurgical Engg. only; from a recognized University.
2. Desirable : (i) Master’s degree in Engg. or Technology in
the subject concerned. (ii) Knowledge of Chinese,
French, Russian, German or Japanese foreign language.
3. Essential: At least 13 years experience and expertise in
areas of communication technology/ project
management/ maintenance of plant and machinery/
operation and maintenance in the area of
telecommunication/ material management/ QA/QC of
mechanical system/ material handling equipment/design
& fabrication of Mechanical system & HVAC plants/
safety management of weapon and armament system
and civil works in MES/BRO/construction agencies of
Military Services.
Scientist ‘E’ (` 37,400-67,000/- & Grade Pay ` 8,700/-)
– 15 Vacancies
1. Arch/Naval Construction/Metallurgy /Marine Engg./
Mechanical Engg./Civil Engg. only; from a recognized
University.
2. Desirable : (i) Master’s degree in Engg. or Technology /
Ph D in the subject concerned. (ii) Knowledge of
Chinese, French, Russian, German or Japanese foreign
language.
3. Essential: At least 10 years experience in Ship Design,
Production, Installation and Commissioning of
Machinery, Review of Design Documents , Planning,
Overseeing and o-ordination during Construction of
Ships (Experience of working in a shipyard or sailing is
preferred). Knowledge of IMO/SOLAS/MARPOL/MMD/
SPS Code regulations and classification society rules.
Should have experience and knowledge in technical and
financial capacity assessment of shipyards with respect
to design and building capabilities.
Scientist ‘D’ (` 15,600-39,100/- & Grade Pay ` 7,600/-)
– 2 Vacancies
1. Essential: At least First class Master’s Degree in Science
(Physics/Applied Electronics) or First class Bachelor’s
Degree in Engg./Technology in Electronics Engg. only;
from a recognized University.
2. Desirable : (i) Ph D in relevant Science subjects or
Master’s degree in Engg. or Technology in relevant
Engg. subject. (ii) Knowledge of Chinese, French,
Russian, German or Japanese foreign language.
3. Essential: At least 7 years experience in Design,
simulation and fabrication of Advanced Microwave
Tubes like Gyrotrons. Design, simulation and fabrication
of conventional helix and couplec-cavity travelling wave
tubes (C-band to Ka-band).
Scientist ‘C’ (` 15,600-39,100/- & Grade Pay ` 6,600/-)
– 2 Vacancies
1. Essential: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in
Engg./Technology in Civil Engg. only; from a recognized
University.
2. Desirable : (i) Master’s degree in Engg. or Technology
in Structural Engg. (ii) Knowledge of Chinese, French,
Russian, German or Japanese foreign language.
3. Essential: At least 3 years experience in Blast Resistant
design of RCC/LRC Structures, Analysis and preparation
of Engineering Drawing, Quality Control, Construction
Planning and Management.
4. Desirable : Experience in Modelling & Simulation of
Structures subjected to Blast Loads
Weightage for higher qualification to be equated as
research experience for lateral recruitment for the posts
under DRDS Cadre is as under –
1. Post Graduate Degree in Engg – Two Years.
2. Doctorate Degree in Science – Three Years.
3. Doctorate Degree in Engg. – Four Years.


II) CIVIL WORKS OFFICER CADRE (GENERAL CENTRAL
SERVICE GROUP ‘A’ GAZETTED (TECHNICAL)
Addl CCE (` 37,400-67,000/- & Grade Pay ` 8,700/-) –
1 Vacancy
1. Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Engg./Technology in
Civil Engineering only; from a recognized University.
2. Essential : At least 10 years experience in planning or
execution of civil work OR Experience in planning /
execution of major time-bound projects of Workshops/
Factories/ Research establishments OR Experience in
Estate Management (i.e. encroachments, development,
usufructs and litigation and other matters relating
thereto: ) Provision of Civic amenities for inhabited
estates, arboriculture and environmental health, civic
taxes and other matters relating thereto: and expert
knowledge of Land acquisition, Laws, Land valuation
techniques, rules related to negotiated purchase/hiring
of immovable property.
3. Desirable : Knowledge of Scales of accommodation,
budget monitoring and quantity surveying.
AGE LIMITS (as on closing date of advertisement):
For DRDS Cadre
Scientist ‘B’ : Not exceeding 28 years,
Scientist ‘C’ : Not exceeding 35 years,
Scientist ‘D’ and Scientist ‘E’ : Not exceeding 45 years,
Scientist ‘F’ and Scientist ‘G’ : Not Exceeding 50 Years
For Civil Works Officer Cadre
Addl CCE : Not exceeding 50 years.
HOW TO APPLY
Candidates are required to submit their applications
online alongwith legible and lighter file containing
scanned copies of certificates for essential Educational
Qualification, Experience claimed, Document /certificate
in support of last pay drawn, recent coloured passport
size photograph and the required fee through RAC
website http://rac.gov.in . Total size of all scanned
documents to be attached must not exceed 2MB. After
submission of the online application , candidates working
in Government/Public Sector Undertaking, Autonomous
Organisations/Armed Forces (including Departmental
candidates) must forward their applications through
proper channel/accompanied with NOC to Director,
Recruitment & Assessment Centre (RAC), Lucknow
Road, Timarpur, Delhi-110054, so as to be received at
RAC within 30 days of the closing date failing which
their candidature shall not be considered. Candidates
are advised to retain one copy of application with
acknowledgement slip.
Application Fee ` 50/- (fifty) to be paid online. No fee is
applicable for SC/ST/PH/Woman candidates.
